THE MORLEY BRIGHT WATERMARK DETECTOR The MORLEY BRIGHT system uses the fractional difference between watermarked areas of the stamp and the remaining area. This shows the relief when the ink in the sealed sachet is dispersed by the pressure leaving the "tell tale" watermark traces. A most cost effective means of identifying watermarks. The INST-A-TECTOR (Illustrated) is the most straight forward detector to use. the stamp is placed between an ink sachet and a piece of glass in the hand held unit. The watermark is revealed whilst thumb pressure is applied to the edges of the unit. For better definition or a longer lasting picture the ROLL-A-TECTOR is required. In this case a roller (instead of thumbs) is used to apply pressure. The picture will remain until another stamp is inserted. |

| Clean and safe. The two models are battery or mains operated (UK mains adapter supplied FREE). The Signoscopes are very effective for the difficult watermarks and very effective at detecting repairs and forgeries. The Safe Signoscopes are simple to use. Just place your stamp or block of stamps under the precision ground block and insert this into the Signoscope. Then put this block under pressure using the Signoscope lever. (thumbscrew on the T2 Model) and switch on the lamp. The watermark will be revealed. You can study the watermark while referring to the your catalogue. Dry, Safe and fast. Both models run from AA batteries or Mains adapters. (not supplied) | |||||

The upper housing has a 4 x 2 inch aspherical lens (3x) and 2 inches diameter biconvex sliding lens (3x). Total magnification 6x. The upper housing with the lamps is held by magnets and can be removed. The upper housing can hold 2 tubes at any one time. Both short and long wave lamps or a normal fluorescent lamp and one UV. (any 2 combinations at a time). The lower housing contains a white fluorescent tube.
